Nothing to install on the TV
Most digital signage needs an app installed on every screen, or a dedicated media player, and each one signed in to an account. Ours is a web page. The TV opens digitalsignage.myqr.co.nz/tv, shows a code, and once you enter that code in your dashboard the TV is linked to your venue. There’s no username or password on the TV, ever.
- No app store, no downloads, no updates to install
- No account, email or password on the TV
- No media player box
- Works on the TV’s built-in browser, or any streaming stick with a browser
Why browser-based is better for a venue
- Staff can’t get locked out: there’s no login on the TV to forget.
- Replacing a TV takes a minute: open the address on the new one and type the code.
- Updates happen on our side, so every TV always has the latest version.
- It runs on old TVs too: the player is built for older, slower TV browsers.
- Nothing is stored on the TV except a note of which venue it belongs to.
How the TV stays linked
After pairing, the TV remembers it belongs to your venue. After a power cut, just reopen the address and it goes straight back to your adverts, no code needed. If you ever disconnect a TV from your dashboard, it immediately goes back to showing a new code.
You manage it from any browser too
Your dashboard is a website as well, so you can upload adverts and change specials from your phone, tablet or laptop, anywhere. The only account is yours, the venue owner’s, and it’s created when you sign up.
